From Arriving (2004) by Chris Tomlin
The
splendor of the King, clothed in majesty
Let all the earth rejoice
All the earth rejoice
He wraps himself in
Light, and darkness tries to hide
And trembles at His voice
Trembles at His voice
How great is our God,
sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God
Age to age He stands
And time is in His hands
Beginning and the end
Beginning and the end
The Godhead Three
in One
Father Spirit Son
The Lion and the Lamb
The Lion and the Lamb
How great is our God,
sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God
Name above all names
Worthy of all praise
My heart will sing
How great is our God
How
great is our God, sing with me
How great is our God, and all will see
How great, how great is our God (x2)
July 22, 2006 (Al): Tonight we sang this at Eastern Hills Community Church in Aurora, Colorado. We weren't even supposed to be in Colorado tonight, as we had scheduled a ministry trip to Utah. However, 2 nights ago, my wife dislocated her right knee cap. Thus, we weren't able to travel to our meeting for this weekend. This really frustrated me.
It was helpful to
get the perspective of this song in the midst of the schedule turmoil. In particular,
the words about time being in God's hand ministered to me.
