February 29, 2004 (Al): I've enjoyed this song on Michael W. Smith's "Worship Again" album. This morning Catherine led us in a French translation of this song during our worship service at l'Eglise Réformée de Belleville. I'm always surprised how moving it is to rediscover the meaning of a familiar song when singing it in French.

Anyway, as we begin the Lenten season and the 40 days of prayer and fasting for France, this is a good song to meditate upon...especially the last part about not knowing how much it cost to see our sin upon the cross.

The background of this page is a photo that I took of the outside of our church that night. There is a sign under the light that says, "God is love" in 12 different languages. Our church is trying to be a light in our neighborhood, our city, our country, and in the world.
